The weekend of July  22 – 24 Victoria will be appearing at the second annual Whitsundays Writers Festival on Hamilton Island along with SMH literary editor Susan Wyndham, columnist Sam de Brito, food writer, co-editor of SMH ‘Good Food Guide’ and director of Sydney International Food Festival Joanna Savill and journalist/author Malcolm Knox.

At the Byron Bay Writers Festival 2011, Victoria will be chairing a session entitled  ‘Beautiful Books – Turning Books into Art’ with panelists Victoria Alexander (ex- Bathers Pavillion), Belinda Jeffery and winner of last MasterChef Adam Liaw.

Victoria will be teaching a series of cooking classes at Piccadilly Hill, Coopers Shoot just outside Byron Bay at the glorious home (ocean views, lush hinterland) of Gloria and Geoff Radburn. Kicking off on April 29 they will consist of three-course Sunday lunches all’italiano and be held approximately every six weeks. Victoria will demonstrate the three courses before the small group (no larger than ten) will then take over and whip up the meal they will then sit down to devour with a glass of Italian wine or two. On Wednesday October 3 Victoria will be the special guest at the monthly Freestyle Tout  book club in Brisbane, talking about her memoir ‘Amore and Amaretti’ and joining in a beautiful lunch of dishes cooked from her book.
